The Plymouth Community Foster Closet provides FREE clothing and essentials to children in care. Our goal is to provide children with clothing that is similar to the apparel of their peers.
Gently used items must be clean, freshly washed, and from a non-smoking environment. If possible, label by size - this really helps our volunteers! Please make sure items are not stained, ripped and must be able to read the tag inside the items. We also request clothing is no older than three years old, especially teen clothing
We accept stylish/current trends in newborn-to-adult sizes (premie to 3XL). Our GREATEST NEEDS are always NEW socks and NEW underwear and pajamas. We also accept jeans, leggings, skirts, dresses, shirts, sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, coats, PJ’s, shoes (focus on tennis shoes, school shoes, boots, and dress shoes), swimwear
We need baby supplies including diapers and Pull Ups in all sizes, baby wipes, baby shampoo, lotion, bubble bath, Desitin cream, baby monitors, Diaper Bags, NEW 3 in 1 car seats, and baby bottles. Contact us first about bigger items, we may not have room for them based on our current inventory
At this time, we are only accepting new toys. We do accept new and excellent condition books (especially popular titles for elementary/middle school, as well as picture books and graphic novels)
We LOVE full size bar soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, new combs and hairbrushes, new toiletry bags, Razors, and Textured hair products. Diapers in all sizes, packages can be open
Pillows, washcloths, and towels must be new. Clean, stain free, used sheet sets, crib sheets, mattress pads, comforters, blankets, and homemade pillowcases are welcome
Currently, we cannot accept used cribs, used toys, used bikes, furniture, beds, baby bumpers, breast pumps, used stuffed animals, food, used infant car seats, knick-knacks, luggage, suitcases, VHS/DVD's
Suits, formal dresses, Houseware items, Children's dishes, Crib mattresses (must be free of tears/stains), swings, bouncers, strollers, potty seats, or any large baby gear due to limited storage space and/or need requests from our families
Running an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization comes with costs. We purchase some items that we do not get donated, we pay rent, and we have other operational expenses. Your financial support will be put to good use right away and we appreciate it very much!
